“The righteous man walks in integrity; His children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7
As we celebrate Father’s Day today I want to take some time to honor the man behind 31 Girl at Home. The man who constantly supports my crazy ideas, and even more than that, encourages them. The man who steadfastly supports our family, who gives of himself to church and community, and who loves deeply. Jason, we are blessed to call you husband and father.
In this crazy world that I call a job, that many people scratch their heads to try and understand (even me sometimes!), social media marketing in the home décor realm takes A LOT of behind the scenes work. Jason never waivers as I bring ideas to him that I would like to make come to life.
If you look back at my very first Instagram post you’ll see it started with a picture of him and Abigail putting up our very first shiplapped wall in our kitchen. And the rest, as they say, is history! Here we are 2 ½ years later, many more shiplapped walls, gallons of white paint, a magazine feature, a chicken coop, barn doors, farmhouse sinks, a master renovation, a new front porch and a few thousand more followers. None of which would have been possible without the blessings of God, and a hardworking husband.
I never dared dreamed where God would take this social media space for us, but as always, His plan prevails. Through all of this we have come to find how much we enjoy working together with our hands to make a vison become a reality. We’ve realized how special it is to make a house our home, and how fulfilling it is to enjoy the fruits of our hard work.
Jason, thank you so much for being my constant. Thank you for supporting me always in all things (including endless amounts of shiplap), and for taking care of our family so well.
